Our Team

Weiss PR Associates is led by two senior-level professionals who combined bring nearly 40 years of public relations experience to their clients.

Ray Weiss, President

Ray has 30 years of experience in public relations. Before starting his own firm in 2008, Ray held public relations positions in academia, economic development, and the legal community. He joined a national public relations firm as a Partner in 1992, establishing that firm’s Baltimore office and successfully managing it for 16 years.

Ray has created and implemented communications initiatives for a wide range of major corporations and non-profits, including The National Federation of the Blind, Sylvan, Venable, and the Maryland State Department of Education. He also developed a thriving crisis communications practice and staged numerous special events (including Pope John Paul II’s 1995 Visit to the United States and a benefit concert featuring Johnny Cash).

Under Ray’s leadership, Weiss PR has grown rapidly, more than doubling in size in its first year in business. Today, the firm has clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic, as well as in Cleveland, Hartford, Raleigh, St. Louis, Salt Lake City, and Southern California.
